BIOGRAPHY
Elisabeth Le Cottier started painting in watercolours at a studio called l'Atelier du Capitole. Then she concentrated on studying composition with Christian Schmidt with whom she began working with gouache and oil paints.
Later on, she felt the need to take classes in academic drawing, thus completing her art education.
Her inspiration comes mostly from nature, where she does plein air drawing and painting with watercolours or oil pastels, and also from travel memories reinvented on her canvasses. |
